Music Theory Courses
Victoria offers fun and interactive music theory lessons from her home in Park Street using the ABRSM’s highly recommended workbooks. Pupils are taught in groups of up to 8, for an hour each week over the course of a term, with the opportunity to take an online exam with the ABRSM at the end.
Looking to increase your sightreading/aural marks in practical music exams?
The study of music theory perfectly compliments any musician, supporting their note reading, appreciation of rhythms and understanding of how a piece of music fits together. Taking part in music theory courses has been seen to increase the marks awarded in the aural and sight reading components of practical exams for Victoria’s piano pupils. It also comes in very handy when learning and remembering scales.
Hoping to go beyond grade 5 in a practical music exam?
Grade 5 music theory is also a mandatory requirement for pupils hoping to take practical exams beyond grade 5 with the ABRSM – so don’t wait to have to catch up in a rush – make music theory enjoyable and learn it at a steady pace.
