Sing It St Albans

Who are we & what are we doing?

Sing it St Albans is a community choir for all young people between the ages of 10-18.

It provides a creative space for boys and girls to come together to experience the joy that is singing in harmony as part of a choir.  Anything goes - from Pop to Rock to Classical to Blues and everything in between.

There's no need to read music as all teaching is done by ear. All abilities are welcome! With regular performance opportunities our singers have the chance to share music with their friends, family and local community.

Enjoy the beautiful setting of Holy Trinity Church, with its modern facilities, incredible acoustics and plenty of onsite parking.

So come along, meet new people and join us to "Sing It St Albans"!

A bit about us...

Victoria FitzGerald

Our Founder & Choir Leader

Victoria has loved music since she was a child and has played the piano, the flute, and sung in choirs her whole life. Having become a dedicated Mum of two, she left behind her legal career as a barrister in search of a more family-friendly career.

Since 2021 she has taught piano and music theory, helping children to develop their own love of music, ensuring them plenty of success along the way.

That year, Victoria also created the St Adrian’s RC Primary School Choir which now has 45 members and performs at least 5 times each academic year. Real highlights for the children have included singing with Young Voices at the O2 Arena, performing at the Alban Arena and showing care for our local community through entertaining the elderly at Church lunch clubs and care homes.

Victoria has a gift for getting the best out of young people, boosting their confidence and encouraging them to achieve their full potential.

Lucy Searle

Assistant Choir Leader & Pianist

From early childhood, Lucy's love for music was clear. Her passion led her to pursue a formal education in music, first as an undergraduate and later as a postgraduate researcher in Popular Musicology.

Lucy found her true calling when she began teaching piano to family members and it became clear that her talents lay in teaching music to others.

Since 2008, Lucy has been a dedicated music teacher in Hertfordshire, working with both primary and secondary school students, as well as offering private lessons. She is driven by seeing her pupils gain joy, confidence, and musical ability. Lucy's creativity shines through when arranging music for group ensembles and choirs; her ear for harmony really brings music to life.

Beyond her professional life, Lucy is a devoted mother to four children and her house is often filled with the sound of music and singing! Lucy's journey is one of nurturing talent and fostering a lifelong love of music in everyone she meets.
